RE: Request for judicial records under Rule of Judicial Administration 12

To the records custodian:

This is a request under Rule 12 of the Texas Rules of Judicial Administration.
I direct it to the court's records custodian because the Public Information Act
does not apply to the judiciary -- Gov't Code 552.0035 -- and Rule 12 is the
route for judicial records.

I request the following:

Any written procedure governing the appointment rotation or wheel — how
counsel, guardians ad litem and attorneys ad litem are selected, and any
standing order setting fees.

This asks for the court's ADMINISTRATIVE records. It does not ask for any case
file, any document filed in a case, or anything in a judge's adjudicative work.
Rule 12.5 lists what is exempt and I am not asking for any of it.

Rule 12.6 asks for a response within fourteen days, and Rule 12.9 provides that
a denial may be appealed to the Office of Court Administration. If the answer is
that no such written record exists, please say so in writing -- that answer is
itself informative and I will not treat it as a refusal.
